How to use SmartBite AR

  1. Try the demo. Move the tilt slider and switch between Frontal and Profile to see what the overlay measures.
  2. Set the view before capturing. Face the subject squarely for Frontal or take a true side view for Profile. Keep the two Fox plane points visible and minimize perspective distortion.
  3. Use Camera or Photo. In Camera, the optional live tracker compares frontal iris centres and two stickers on the Fox plane. Use bright solid yellow and magenta dots, one per end, and avoid matching colours elsewhere in view. Stop on a frame to check and correct points. For Profile, freeze a frame and mark the ala and the tragus point specified by your instructor.
  4. Check the four landmarks. Tap the image to place each point. To correct a point, select its row in Landmarks and tap its new position. For a profile, mark the Fox plane’s anterior point on the nose side and its posterior point on the ear side.
  5. Read the angle. Positive means the image-right end slopes down relative to the reference. Green indicates the proposal’s ±1° practice band. Use this as a 2D teaching measurement and verify alignment with your instructor.
